The rumor mill has churned out yet another story about a new electric sports car that will be named BMW i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid. This is none other than the production version of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept that was revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Auto Show.Rumored to make its debut in 2013, the Porsche 918 Spyder, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell and Audi e-tron rival will be a plug-in hybrid with three-cylinder direct injection engine, delivering between 165 to 185 hp, and two electric motors which will add an extra 100 hp. Sadly there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the German automaker; however Bild adds that BMW aims to sell over 35,000 units of the i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid, which the manufacturer will price around €100,000 ($130,775). The car is reported to make an appearance at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
