First Look to 2012 Lancia Ypsilon
Lancia will bring its highly anticipated product, the all-new Ypsilon, at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Lancia has recently published the first photos of the revised Ypsilon on its official website. The model features a more modern and sporty look with a two-tone finish that will likely be offered on top-of-the-range trim levels. Lancia has not revealed plenty of details about the new Ypsilon. But awhile back, rumors have come out that Ypsilon will be offered in three engines provided by Fiat: a 0.9 SGE, the 1.4 Multiair and the 1.3 Multijet diesel.

In a surprise move, Lancia literally outlined its forthcoming 2012 Ypsilon su
permini through an animated New Year's greeting card posted on a special minisite. And if that's not enough news for you, the chalk-like drawings were accompanied by a teaser message that reads, "A new horizon, three new Lancia models".

The Italian firm did not elaborate on what these models are, however, we beleive that aside from the five-door Ypsilon, which is scheduled to arrive in European dealerships next summer, the other two vehicles will be based on Chrysler models. In particular, the new 300 full size sedan as the Thema flagship, and either the 200 mid-size sedan or the Town and Country,
the latter as a replacement for the Phedra MPV.

That Lancia and Chrysler are getting closer than a couple of drunk teens after the prom is no longer a secret. They share a common CEO – both at the group and brand levels – and will act as each-other's agents in their respective markets (not unlike their counterparts
at General Motors' Vauxhall, Opel and Holden units). Vehicles we know as Chrysler models will soon be sold in Europe under Lancia's umbrella. This car will be marketed as a Lancia in contental Europe, as a Chrysler in the UK, and possibly as a Chrysler in the States as well.
