Ferrari Mondial is a 2+2 coupe vehicle manufactured and launched by Ferrari Company in the year 1980 that replaced the GT4 model. It was initially sold as midsized coupe and also a cabriolet. The vehicle had slightly higher roofline as compared to other models in the market for good interior space, easy access and reasonable legroom. It was one of the most successful commercial models of Ferrari Company which was manufactured in large numbers. The body of vehicle was not designed and built as monocoque but like conventional car with steel outer body construction designed by Carrozzeria Scaglietti, an Italian coachbuilder. The Ferrari Mondial was powered by powerful by V8 engine which was good for producing ample of torque and horsepower. The Mondial was built and designed completely different as compared to previous model GT4 as was practical than other Ferrari models with ample of space. Some of the extensive features found in this model are higher roof, high visibility, long doors and adequate legroom with comfortable four-seating capacity. It was initially launched at Geneva Auto Show with tubular chassis. It was also equipped with mid/rear mounted Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system engine and 308 GT4 like chassis. The suspensions were classic layout of Koni dampers and unequal length double wishbones. It is also known to be one of the best less expensive models in the market with its transmission subframe. The first Mondial engine was DOHC two valves per cylinder that was good for producing 240 horsepower.
